My name is Lange Eve, and I specialize in helping kids (7+), teens, and adult women who are stuck feeling anxious, self-critical, or “lost.”
I also support moms who are feeling resentful, overwhelmed, or burdened by their role as a parent.
These are all very normal feelings and experiences, and many therapies teach clients ways to “manage,” but often don’t get to the root of the issue. Thus they are left wondering when the feeling will go away.
Together, we learn to listen to our body and understand it’s story so we can begin to heal the whole self.
I work with children and adults to teach them how to tune in to what their bodies and minds are telling them, and bring awareness to new ways they can become strong and resilient– even when things are hard or stressful on the outside.
My training and experience has taught me that the challenges we experience in the present are usually symptoms that develop from the way our body and system have adapted to earlier experiences. My treatment practices are based on very gentle somatic and attachment-focused methods that support healing in the Limbic part of the brain, which is exactly where we store memories of disruptive experiences and trauma, such as adoption, parental divorce, relocation, abusive relationships, new siblings, etc. Even those experiences that we might not consciously remember or that we try to brush off– those live there too, and can have an impact on our daily lives.
